Rio Marina is a small town on Elba Island and was, for many years, the centre of mining activities on the island. Today, it is a municipality of approx. 2000 inhabitants where the traditional atmosphere of Italian towns still prevails.

The building was constructed in the mid-1800s and was an elementary school until 1931. In the 1950s, it was transformed into a seaside summer lodge to host the children cared for by the Gould and the Ferretti institutes in Florence. We have always cared about welcoming our guests!
